THE first BSCP Philippine Junior Pool Championship will start tomorrow (Sept. 21) at the Rizal MemorialBilliards Center, and will run for three days up to Sunday (Sept. 23). This was announced today by Tournament Director Sol Gueco of Raya Sports and RP pool coach Ramon Ancaja.The Junior Championship is for Filipino male players age 19 years and below. To qualify a player must not reach 20 years by November 30 this year. The date is the cutoff period for all players participating in the 2007 World Junior Pool Championship scheduled in Willingen, Germany in November.Over 50 players have already registered for the BSCP juniors tournament, which is being sponsored by Magnolia Health Tea. Entry is free for all qualified players. Final deadline for entry is Thursday, 12 noon.Leading the players entered in the tournament are Renemar David of Ilocos Sur (RP participant andquarterfinalist in the 2006 World Junior Pool Championship), Johan Chua, Mike Takayama, and SeanMalayan.
